Under the exposed beams of a Paduan rooftop sits our largest and most characterful studio. A wrought-iron king-size bed, a table that works equally well for a laptop or dinner, and a wardrobe big enough to actually unpack. The kitchen is compact but complete — hob, fridge, sink and crockery — with a moka pot, coffee, salt, sugar and oil waiting when you arrive. The private bathroom has a shower, bidet and washing machine, which makes longer stays easy. The hospital is a three-minute walk, the historic centre fifteen.
